DNA barcoding allows identification of European Fanniidae (Diptera) of forensic interest

I’m a coauthor of interesting paper about barcoding of the European species of Fanniidae (Diptera) of forensic interest published in Forensic Science International. We showed that mini-barcode (app. 200 bp) and full-length (app. 700 bp) COI barcode sequences give very high specimen identification success. The leading author of this article is Andrzej Grzywacz who works on a phylogeny and developmental biology of Muscideae and Fanniidae. The second author is Dominika Wyborska, the PhD student in my lab. This paper was supported by the National Science Center project no. UMO-2015/17/B/NZ8/02453.
